Question of the Day: Identity 25 April 2007

Having an established sense of identity, some cognitive pyschologists say, allows for self-reflection that may lead to a more grounded sense of self.

Does having a stronger sense of identity allow for a greater appreciation of where another may be coming from? Or does it, in fact, prevent us from relating to another who may not have the same identity?
